Državni zbor je s 50 glasovi za in 36 glasovi proti sprejel predlog novele zakona o prevozih v cestnem prometu, ki med drugim prinaša podlago za delovanje digitalnih platform za prevoze.
Zakon, ki ga je predlagalo ministrstvo za infrastrukturo in je sedaj tudi sprejet, ureja pogoje za delo ponudnikov prevozov v cestnem prometu, pri čemer gredo spremembe v smeri razvoja in napredka. Nova zakonodaja namreč odpira pot digitalizaciji tudi na področju prevozov in s tem Sloveniji omogoča sledenje razvitim državam, kjer takšne platforme uspešno delujejo že vrsto let.

Če bodo na trg taksistov in prevozov vstopila tuja podjetja, bo tudi zanje veljala enaka davčna zakonodaja, kar pomeni, da se bodo davki plačevali v Sloveniji. Tako bo preprečeno odtekanje denarja v tujino.
Vsak, ki bo v Sloveniji opravljal službo prevoza v cestnem prometu, moral imeti sklenjeno pogodbo z delodajalcem po eni izmed oblik delovno-pravne zakonodaje. Torej ne bo možnosti za delo na črno. Obenem bo moral imeti vsa ostala dovoljenja, da lahko opravlja prevoz, vključno s potrdilom o poznavanju mesta, licenco, zavarovanjem. Z morebitnim vstopom novih ponudnikov, kot so Uber ali druge storitve, ki temeljijo na digitalnih rešitvah, bodo delavci dobili večjo možnost izbire delodajalcev. Našteta pravila bodo sicer veljala tako za obstoječe kot katere koli nove ponudnike.
